Who is responsible
Mangam Investment Trust (Pty) Ltd, registration 2017/206692/07, trading as Mangam Resort & Guesthouse, is responsible for the personal information it uses. Our Information Officer is Misheck Mangarateke, registration reference 2026-065888. Mishie Mangarateke assists under his oversight.

This website and your choices
The website provides resort information, prices and policies. It does not currently offer checkout, a customer account, a contact form, a privacy-request form or file uploads. It does not collect payment details, create QR tickets or deliver wallet passes. Online ticketing will require updated information about its processing before it opens.
The site does not run advertising or analytics, or embed third-party video players or social widgets. Google Maps is displayed by default in Find us; Hide map removes it and remembers your choice on this browser. Loading the map connects your browser to Google, which receives technical information such as your IP address and browser details and may use its own cookies or storage. Google may process this information outside South Africa. See Google’s Privacy Policy and our Cookie Notice for the map controls and earlier saved choices. Automatic display is not recorded as consent. Photographs and the home-page background video are delivered through ImageKit’s content delivery network, with this website as a fallback. ImageKit receives technical request information such as IP address, browser details, requested file and request time to deliver the media. Processing and delivery may occur outside South Africa. See ImageKit’s Privacy Policy. We do not use ImageKit’s video analytics or an embedded player. Styles and presentation scripts are served from this website; the design uses fonts available on your device. Directions, review and WhatsApp links open their external services when selected; the embedded map makes a separate connection when it loads. You can read the website without using those services. We obtain enquiry information from you or a person acting with your authority. Processing must have an applicable basis, such as providing a requested service, a legal obligation or a legitimate security or operational purpose. A visit to this notice is not blanket consent to unrelated processing. We do not sell your personal information or treat an enquiry as consent to marketing.
Do not send children's names, identity documents, medical histories, bank passwords, PINs or one-time passwords in a general enquiry. If a request requires sensitive evidence, first ask the Information Officer how to provide only what is necessary through an appropriate route. The entrance-price band beginning at age 13 does not mean legal adulthood.
Who receives information
Authorized Mangam staff handle information needed for their duties. HostKing provides the hosting infrastructure and associated support/security services. Relevant communications providers process information when you choose a telephone or messaging channel. Information may also be disclosed where law requires or permits it, with applicable safeguards.
External providers may have their own purposes and obligations; they are not all described as acting only on Mangam's instructions. Provider services can involve processing outside South Africa. Ask the Information Officer for details of the providers, locations and transfer arrangements relevant to your information. HostKing's privacy notice describes its own practices. It does not replace Mangam's responsibilities.
Retention and security
We keep personal information only for its purpose and applicable legal requirements, including justified accounting, dispute and security needs. An enquiry that becomes a booking or dispute may need a different period from a routine question. Ask the Information Officer about the period applicable to a record and any limit on deletion. Backups and provider logs must also be considered when handling a request; deletion from one mailbox is not a promise that all copies have disappeared.
We restrict access to people who need it and use appropriate technical and organizational safeguards. No website or communication service can guarantee absolute security. Necessary incident investigation and notifications are handled under applicable law. Do not send sensitive documents to staff WhatsApp groups.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, deletion where permitted, objection to relevant processing, withdrawal of optional consent or help with a privacy complaint. Verification should be proportionate to the request. A legal retention requirement may limit deletion; we explain that when responding. Withdrawing optional consent does not erase a record that must lawfully be kept.
Use our privacy request information for assistance and our PAIA Manual for formal record access. You may also use the Information Regulator's POPIA complaint routes. Contacting us does not remove that right.
The published notice shows its version and effective date. Material new processing, including online ticketing, requires an updated notice before it begins.
